I stood outside for 20 minutes whilst the guys in there were bustling about and getting themselves mixed up with that they were doing! I wouldn’t mind but I only wanted a portion of chips! Nothing else!!! The other customers outside were equally as frustrated. Lastly, the on site chip shop…So disorganised!!! I ordered one portion of chips and was given a ticket and told I would need to wait for my number to be called. Their “mega” breakfast is over £10 and is the size of a standard portion in a normal cafe! Take my advice and drive into Watchet to Chives Cafe for a wonderful breakfast at a fraction of the price! The drinks in the clubhouse are also extortionate! The wine was like paint stripper and nearly £8 for the privilege!!! I stuck to Diet Coke in the end. The cafe/on site restaurant is ridiculously expensive.

To me this is not a huge issue but to our child it was a disaster!!! You can get free wifi in the clubhouse/pool area. If you have teens or older children there is virtually no signal in the caravans so going on line is almost impossible. The evening entertainment is a big letdown, the scheduled acts didn’t always come on when they should have done and sometimes they changed totally without prior warning. The downside is that the site feels very cut off and isolated, it is not easy to walk to Watchet unless you take your life in your hands along the main road! We love sight seeing and found that we had to do a lot of driving to get to some of the popular attractions in the area. There caravan we stayed in was lovely and we were very fortunate to be upgraded to a higher spec. This park is clean and tidy and the staff are helpful and friendly. They’re all superstars and I am forever grateful for their help and kindness! The whole stay has been amazing and we will definitely be back for sure!! Thank you! Joanne x… I would like to thank Josh P, the cleaner, who found the watch and handed it in, Laura and Rachel R for organising the safe return to me by post. She is so lovely and called me again to make sure I had received my parcel. Within 5 minutes of hanging up, she called me back and said it was in her hand!! She was due to finish work but she didn’t want to wait until the next day to call me. Not expecting any luck, I called Doniford Bay reception as soon as I could and Rachael was fantastic and very helpful to try and help me find my watch. Understandable I was devastated as it’s my wedding anniversary present from my husband. On returning home, I only realised That I had left my watch a week later. Minehead Butlins is also here if you want to buy a day pass to enter, we didn’t as my kids weren’t bothered. It’s has a beautiful sandy beach and some small shops. Minehead seafront is a 20 minute drive away but it is well worth it. We enjoyed the evening entertainment and managed to book to all our swimming sessions with ease. My boys enjoyed the multi-sport courts and played a few sessions of football with the other children. The caravan was very clean and the info pack was already waiting for us on arrival.

I went for the bronze caravan and got a lovely surprised being upgraded to a beautiful top spec caravan on the seafront. My caravan location was given to me a few hours later. This is our first Haven trip and I booked the stay very last minute on Thursday 21st July for that weekend.and everything was emailed to me to book activites and swimming within 30minutes of payment.
